Last year’s NBA Live was shockingly disappointing because of the no fatigue glitch. While EA did manage to release a patch that fixed it, console owners had no such luck. This caused many long time NBA Live fans (including me) to switch to 2K Games’ NBA 2K7.

This year’s upcoming NBA Live 08 sports new features like hot spots, signature go to moves, signature dunks and layups, quick strike, signature passes and celebrations, etc. Barring glitches like the infamous no fatigue bug, NBA Live 08 might have a slight chance of regaining it’s once stellar reputation as the best basketball sim.

Just to be safe, I’ll get 2K Games’ NBA 2K8 for the ps2 as well as NBA LIVE 08 for the pc.

This expansion will introduce three new civilizations, added campaigns, new wonders of the world, and new units, features, and enhancements. The Asian Dynasties expansion will focus on the Far East.

The single player mode will have three campaigns of five scenarios each for each civilization. A few more hotkeys were added to accomodate requests made by the Age of Empires community.

Scheduled to be released later this year, AOE 3: Asian Dynasties is sure to be another hit.

The single player demo for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix can now be downloaded from Gamespot. The demo gives players a chance to meet some of the movie’s characters, and a chance to explore parts of Hogwarts.

You’ll need to create an account at Gamespot before you can download the demo. Registration is free.

For $100, eager gamers can tryout Blizzard’s upcoming Starcraft 2 at BlizzCon 07. Attendees will be able to play the game at demo kiosks to try out the new gameplay features in mulitplayer matches. Other freebies include an in-game Murloc suit for World of Warcraft, and a beta key for an unspecified Blizzard Entertainment game.

BlizzCon will be held on August 3-4 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

While we’re all waiting to see if Blizzard decides to do Diablo 3, here’s an upcoming hack and slash RPG game from Cyanide. Loki is a role playing game for the pc that’s based on Aztec and Scandinavian lore. Your character’s mission is to find and destroy Seth, the Egyptian god of chaos, before he takes over the world. Seth has found a way to travel between worlds, effectively breaking the agreement between the gods of different pantheons.

Players will be able to choose from different types of characters. There will be 2 male characters from the Norse and Egyptian worlds, and 2 female characters from the Aztec and Greek worlds. Each character has his/her own set of deities to worship, and each deity confers a unique power to your character. Skill trees are unique to each deity and only one can be worshipped at a time.

The game developers promise to spoil players with regard to the amount of weapons and armors that will be found in-game. I guess we’ll see. The game is set to be released on August 24, 2007.
