An Early Look At Turok For The XBox 360

Turok Box CoverScheduled for Feb. 2008, Turok is a first person shooter that puts you in the shoes of Joseph Turok, a former black ops commando hunting down a war criminal. Your ship is shot down during a mission and you and your squad find yourselves scattered on an alien planet inhabited by an army of war criminals. Add a ton of hungry vicious creatures and you’ve got the perfect mix.

Even though you play with your squad, you won’t be able to control them. Not to worry though, GameSpot’s preview mentions that the A.I. is pretty good. Your squadmates give you support and are smart enough to take cover under fire. The enemy A.I. will alert each other when they come across a dead body and react accordingly.

Let’s talk about the creatures. There are dozens of species of dinosaurs in Turok complete with the famous T. Rex which feels like a boss battle when you encounter one. Raptors and other kinds are present to make your trip across the alien planet an exciting one.

Aside from the single player missions, Turok has a multiplayer and co-op mode that supports up to four players online. Multiplayer maps will be bigger than single player maps, and will have multiple objectives for your squad to finish.

Kingdom Under Fire: Circle Of Doom For Xbox 360

For those who loved the first KUF title, the next version, Kingdom Under Fire: Circle Of Doom is just as good, if not better. Circle of Doom will still have you playing one character hacking 20 to 30 enemies at a time. There are six characters to choose from, all taken from the previous KUF games.

This time around, the game will focus on building your character’s level and the tons of weapons and magical abilities that are available.

Beowulf For The Xbox 360: An Early Look

Based on the movie by Paramount Pictures, Beowulf for the Xbox 360 looks like a promising title. The graphics are sharp as can be seen in the screen shot below and combat controls are easy enough for casual gamers to enjoy the game.

Beowulf Screen Shot

The screen shot displays Carnal Fury, a skill that once activated, sends Beowulf in a rage and turns the screen red. Your attacks become more powerful, necessary for tough boss battles.

Combat moves are based on three basic attacks, grab, light attack, and heavy attack. Grabbing your opponent gives a chance to perform more moves. Different combinations of the light and heavy attacks give birth to various combos.

This early, Beowulf looks to be another satisfying button masher. Here’s the official trailer:

BioShock: What’s The Buzz?

With all the buzz surrounding 2k Games’ BioShock, I decided to take a look for myself. The main game site asks you to confirm your age right at the start.

For those who aren’t familiar with the game, BioShock is the “genetically enhanced” fps title that lets you turn everything into a weapon, biologically mod your body with plasmids, hack devices and systems, upgrade your weapons and craft new ammo variants, and experiment with different battle techniques in an underwater city.

Sound intriguing? Take a look at the trailer:

Not bad.
