Release Dates of Upcoming Sony Ericsson Phones, XPERIA X1 Scheduled for September

Few months back there were rumors on the release on latest phones by Sony Ericsson as a release data chart of upcoming models were leaked across the world. In that sheet it was mentioned that XPERIA was scheduled only for 2009. Sony Ericsson was quick to give a clarification that it was a mistake. Now we have the latest and updated release dates of all new phones by Sony Ericsson scheduled for this year. Many of them are already known phones, but we can find few code named phones who’s details are not available at the moment. In the list we can see XPERIA scheduled for September.

Sony Ericsson S500i out in Silver Steel

Sony Ericsson has given a new color for its mid range phone S500i. S500i is a slider phone and the new paint job is in Silver steel color. This color looks more appealing that its initial colors. Apart from the paint job, there is no addition of features.

LG KF700 Available in Europe

LG has launched its latest model KF700 in Europe. This model was unveiled in World Mobile Congress. This is LG’s first phone with three separate input methods. KF700 comes with a 3-inch touchscreen and easy to use interface. The large screen is a good feature in KF700 and browsing the internet and watching movies is a treat with this phone. This model will be available in other markets soon.

Sony Ericsson Launches Z780 and G502

Sony Ericsson has launched two new handsets in HSPDA range of phones-Z780 and G502. The Z780 clamshell is the global sister to the announced Z770 for Europe. It comes with UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100 and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE radios. The G502 candybar also features Maps and comes with UMTS/HSDPA 2100 and GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900/1800/1900 radios.

Both the Z780 and the G502 come with the latest version of Google Maps for Mobile. This application allows you to view high quality maps that give you a satellite view of the local area and view listings of the restaurants and hotels, complete with any reviews or ratings available.

Nokia Announces Two Xpress Handsets- 5320 and 5220

Nokia has recently announced two more handsets into the Xpress Music category– the 5320, and 5220, running on S60 3rd edition, Feature Pack 2, and S40 respectively. Both these versions will be available in third quarter. Nokia 5220 is lower end model. The estimated price of these models are 220 EUR ( INR 14,000) and 160 EUR ( INR 10,500 ) respectively.

Sony Ericsson G502 to be announced soon

Unofficial Sony Ericsson blog has stated that new handset G502 will be released by Sony Ericsson on April 23. The G502 is a fancy-looking candy bar phone in the style of K530. G502 feature a 2 inch large TFT display of QVGA resolution, capable of showing upto 262.144 colours. The G502 is a HSDPA-enabled phone targeted at the business & youth segment with support Exchange Activesync and built-in Google Maps for Mobile. The phone is supposedly ready for Web 2.0 with the built-in Access NetFront web browser.

Nokia N95 8GB New Firmware with Automatic Screen Rotation

Nokia has officially released new firmware for N95 8GB v20.0.016. This firmware is offering automatic screen rotation based on the device’s in-built accelerometers along with browser and WiFi updates. Apart from a few bug fixes and optimizations, the main changes are the addition of Automatic Screen Rotation (driven by the accelerometer, as on the N82) and support for more Bluetooth headsets.

Sony Ericsson K660 and W580 get new Color

Sony Ericsson has just released new colors for its handsets K660 and W580. The new Sony Ericsson K660 colours are called Cyan on Black & Silver on Black, while the red Sony Ericsson W580 colour variant will be called Velvet Red. Both these models are mid range handsets.
